 Jepang memang dikenal dengan negara peniuh inovasi, termasuk perusahaan di Jepang yang satu ini, mereka menemukan cara untuk menyelamatkan lingkungan dengan meminta karyawan mereka untuk memiliki potongan rambut yang identik. Hmmm, apa hubungannya ya?
Adalah sebuah perusahaan konstruksi Jepang yang memerintahkan 2.700 stafnya untuk memiliki potongan rambut yang seragam. Potongan rambut tersebut diyakini bisa menghemat energi karena sang pegawai jadi tidak harus menghabiskan waktunya untuk melakukan blow-dry. Berbasis di Tokyo, perusahaan Maeda Corporation mengumumkan langkah tersebut sebagai bagian dari kampanye nasional untuk mengurangi konsumsi energi. Gaya potongan rambut karyawan Maeda Corporation ini sangat identik untuk membantu menghemat energi. Lau, bagaimana model potongan rambut 'hemat energi' ala Maeda Corporation tersebut? Untuk karyawan prianya, potongan rambutnya adalah potongan pendek belah pinggir dengan sisi rambut sebelah kirinya lebih panjang dari sisi kanan. Sementara, karyawan wanitanya diminta untuk memakai gaya potongan rambut ‘cute’ bob. Ada poninya yang dapat menyapu ke satu sisi. Dipercaya jika orang memiliki rambut pendek, maka mereka tidak perlu menggunakan pengering rambut begitu lama. Mereka juga akan menggunakan lebih sedikit air. Ada keuntungan lain bagi karyawan. Ternyata rambut pendek mudah dirapihkan kembali setelah acak-acakan karena si karyawan menggunakan topi atau penutup kepala lainnya.
